Emperor Penguin: How do you measure up?

What waddles and slides all over its belly in Antarctica?  A penguin of course!
The past 2 weeks we have been busy learning about penguins.  We learned that the biggest penguins are called Emperor Penguins.  They are about 4 feet tall!  In our hallway we have a penguin that is 4 feet tall.  We measured ourselves to see if we are taller or shorter than an Emperor Penguin.  Take a look and see how your kindergartner measures up!

Igloo Architects

We became kindergarten architects as we designed igloos out of marshmallows and tooth picks.  We graphed how many marshmallows we used in our igloo and drew a blueprint of our creation.  Take a look a decide which igloo you'd like to spend a night in!
